Corporate Social Responsibility

As a business, we’re proud to be in a fortunate position to make a positive impact not only on our staff, but also the local community and environment.

Our corporate social responsibility is split into 4 key areas including team, environment, community and customer.

Team

Our clients often ask us, what makes Storetec different? Let us tell you. At Storetec, we're lucky enough to have a dedicated, hard-working team who go above and beyond to deliver quality services to our clients. Many of our employees have worked for Storetec for over a decade, from scan operatives to team leaders and even our senior management team. With open communication across all departments, we have created a unique collaborative approach to deliver clients with truly unbeatable customer care.

Training & Development

We encourage all our employees to reach their full potential by offering bespoke training opportunities. Numerous employees have had the opportunity to undertake further training and have progressed onto managerial positions taking on board further responsibilities.

To continually improve our performance, we also deliver training in customer care, health & safety, information security and further job specialist development.

Apprenticeships

Storetec is affiliated with several local educational organisations, offering a range of apprenticeships to local individuals. By recruiting and training apprentices, we're not only promoting the specific skills required for our business but also investing in the future of young people within the local community.

Environment

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and improve performance by sourcing materials and reviewing processes with sustainability in mind. We continue to work towards ISO 14001 which outlines improvements businesses can make to enhance environmental performance.

Some of the other measures Storetec have taken are:

  • Seeking to keep wastage to a minimum and maximise the efficient use of materials and resources.
  • Managing and disposing of all waste in a responsible manner.
  • Providing training for our staff so that we all work in accordance with environmental policies and within an environmentally aware culture.
  • Developing our management processes to ensure that environmental factors are considered during planning and implementation.
  • Ethical sourcing of raw materials.
  • Monitoring and continuously improving our environmental performance.

We work in partnership with The Future Forest Company. In addition to shredding and recycling hundreds of tonnes of paper per year, we want to proactively make a difference by planting a tree for every ten boxes of client documents scanned. Each tree is dedicated to the client; we'll even give you a certificate and the what3words location of your tree.

Community

We value our community and continue supporting local sporting teams and actively participating in charitable giving.

Fundraising

Storetec employees are actively involved in raising funds for local and national charities. Our directors have taken on personal fundraising missions by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and cycling from London to Paris to raise money for charities, including Macmillan Cancer Support and the Alzheimer's Society. As a company, Storetec has chosen to adopt Sunshine House as a local cause to raise funds for the fantastic respite care they provide for children and young people; every year, Storetec have a Christmas Jumper Day to do so.

Mission Christmas

Being incredibly invested in the local community, a charity that's close to all our hearts is Cash For Kids' Mission Christmas. Every year Storetec donates hundreds of gifts to the Mission Christmas initiative, which ensures every child in the local area has a present under the tree on Christmas morning.

The peak of the Coronavirus brought worries that vulnerable families in our local area were struggling to put food on the table. In an effort to help, Storetec donated a generous £1,000 to the Cash For Kids campaign.

Sponsorships

Storetec has also sponsored a number of local athletes setting out on their professional careers. This includes local boxer Connor Coghill who Storetec have supported for many years.

Customer

We always aim to give our clients the very best customer service and deliver a quality service from start to finish. Throughout the project we will arrange regular review meetings with our project management team to provide informed updates on SLA’s and answer and questions or queries you may have with regards to the project.

Prior to project commencement we will take the time to discuss your requirements and create a tailored project plan. Virtual conference calls can be arranged on your chosen platform if you prefer to put a face to a name and discuss the project in greater depth.
