Storetec’s Connor Coghill gets chance to showcase skills on the biggest stage
Local Boxer Connor received confirmation this week that he will be fighting on the undercard of Luke Campbell and Vasyl Lomachenko on 31st August 2019. With the event taking place at the 02 Arena in London, this promises to be the biggest fight of Connor’s career so far.
Since turning professional in April 2018, Connor has an unbeaten record of 5 wins and 0 losses. Demonstrating his slick skills in the ring and improving fight by fight, Connor is starting to look like a hot prospect in the sport of boxing.
Having sponsored Connor from the start of his professional career, everyone at Storetec is looking forward to supporting the local boxing talent. Several members of the Storetec team will be in attendance for what guarantees to be a great night of boxing.
Looking ahead to the fight, we spoke to a very excited Connor:
“This an amazing opportunity for me, firstly I would like to thank Luke Campbell for giving me this opportunity, as well as Matchroom for allowing me to be part of such a big event. I would also like to thank my Coach Ray Doyle & Manager Stefy Bull for all the hard work and time invested in me. Special thanks to Hull University who have been helping me with my Strength and conditioning programme. Also, one last thanks’ to Storetec Services for helping me from the start of my career, Without the help from Storetec I would be unable to train full time and nights like this would not be able to happen. I am looking forward to the fight and can’t wait to get in there and show what I can do”
With the number one ranked pound-for-pound king, Vasyl Lomachenko, fighting in the UK for the first time, this event is expected to bring in millions of viewers from around the world. Plenty of British talent will be on show throughout the night with: Hughie Fury, Charlie Edwards, Joshua Buatsi and Joe Cordina already confirmed to be on the undercard.
This promises to be a big night for British boxing and Storetec are proud to be a part of it.
